The Niveus Approach

Travel with Intention

Niveus Travel creates immersive journeys in expansive, wild landscapes.

From Arctic tundra and Patagonian valleys to desert dunes, each itinerary is shaped deliberately. Movement and rest are considered equally. The aim is not to cover the most ground, but to experience a place fully within the time you have.

With Niveus, luxury means access to space, privacy, and deep local knowledge.

It was a seamless and memorable adventure, from exploring the rainforest with local guides to swimming beneath a tiered waterfall with no one else in sight.

Jane Hermstedt

Long before founding Niveus Travel, I was drawn to wild places. That pull has taken me to more than eighty countries, with extended time living in nine.

I have never traveled to collect passport stamps. I explore because I am drawn to big landscapes and the ways people are formed by them.

Over the years, I have lived in environments that could not be more different from one another. Five years in Dubai refined my understanding of service and quality at a global scale. A year in India deepened my respect for history and daily life shaped by tradition. Two years in Argentine Patagonia transformed how I understand wilderness travel.

Before founding Niveus, I led a leadership development team, where I came to understand how people respond to ambiguity and challenge.

These experiences continue to inform how I design travel, especially in how I balance comfort with immersion.

Now based in Spain, I design journeys in compelling landscapes around the world, grounded in direct experience and trusted relationships on the ground.

Process

Each journey begins with a focused conversation about scale, pace, budget, and intention.

I then develop a structured proposal outlining destination flow, accommodations, key experiences, and estimated investment.

We refine the itinerary together. Details are adjusted. Logistics are coordinated. Trusted local partners are secured.

Once confirmed, you receive a detailed, mobile-friendly itinerary and supporting documentation. Support remains available throughout your journey.

Investment

Each Niveus journey is designed from the ground up. The work involves research, coordination, and trusted relationships in the landscapes where I operate.

Planning fees typically range from $1,500 to $3,500, depending on duration, geographic scope, and complexity. Multi-country or expedition-level itineraries may require a higher planning investment.

The exact fee is confirmed following our initial consultation, once scope and direction are clear. Planning fees are separate from trip costs and are non-refundable.

Having never used a travel agent before, I was nervous about giving up control. Jane allayed those concerns by being a great listener, very responsive, and providing just the right amount of structure to keep the planning process moving while ensuring it led to the type of trip I wanted.
